Embodied Material

EMBODIED MATERIAL

Embodied Material is a collective of queer textile artists in the Twin Cities that meets regularly to discuss the intersection of queer & textile theory. The collective comes together to discuss a variety of texts, and how they make us feel. Together, we dissect complicated ideas, examining what inspires us, confuses us, and stirs us. Embodied Material displayed it’s first group exhibition at Fresh Eye Gallery from June 22nd-July 29th 2023. This exhibition is a reflection of how we are cultivating shared knowledge and understanding of embodying queerness through craft.
